Meet Head Chef Maus

Born in 2011, Chef Maus founded MausHaus in 2026 on Long Island City.Inspired by the absurd cuteness of dogs roaming in Gantry Park and the dramatic excess of classical art depicted in MoMA, Chef Maus started turning pet cakes into tiny edible sculptures somewhere between Renaissance portraiture and “a dog wearing a party hat at 2am under the Pulaski Bridge.” MausHaus was created to bring elegance, creativity, and a little unnecessary autosarcophagy into the lives of dog owners who enjoy seeing their pets eat their own faces.Hence came the idea of MausHaus - the creation of premium custom pet cakes and treats made with natural, dog-friendly, human-grade ingredients. Meet Sous Chef Jeannie

A full-time schoolteacher and a piano instructor, Jeannie began her journey into custom pet baking began as a tribute to her beloved Chihuahua, Fuchs, whose memory continues to inspire every treat she creates.After receiving professional training in pet baking from Seoul, Korea, she joined MausHaus to help craft beautiful, dog-friendly cakes and treats made with care and creativity. Besides teaching or baking, Jeannie likes to run at Central Park, work on her crochet project, and spend quality time with her son.
